Licensing

If your entity will be operating a business in the state, after it is formed, it is responsible for obtaining any and all business licenses required by the state & local agency(ies). There are often two types of licenses: General state &/or local licensing, to insure that your business pays all state and local taxes; and occupational licensing, often required in medical & technical fields, to insure that the business conforms to the state’s regulations for its industry.

State Licensing

The Washington State Department of Licensing allows you to obtain your file your Master Business License Application online & by mail. Upon approval, your business will receive a Unified Business Identifier (UBI) number.
